Airport to Ship: Navigating Smooth Transfers for Your NCL Cruise Adventure

But wait – how do you get from here to the majestic vessel waiting to whisk you away on your Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) journey? Fear not, fellow traveler, for we've got the inside scoop on mastering the art of airport-to-ship transfers with style and ease. The most common concern is where to meet Norwegian Cruise Line Representative at the Airport:


Guests must claim their luggage and will be directed to the motorcoach for transport to the pier or hotel.  Where can you find your NCL rep?

  • Domestic flight arrivals - Airline's Baggage Claim area

  • International flight arrivals - Outside the customs area/passport control area, after clearing immigration and passport control.


Once guests have located their Norwegian Cruise Line representative at the designated areas, they can rest assured that the embarkation process will proceed smoothly. After claiming their luggage, passengers will be seamlessly guided to the awaiting motorcoach, ready to transport them to the pier or hotel. Whether arriving domestically or internationally, NCL ensures a hassle-free transition from the airport to the next exciting chapter of their journey. With attentive assistance and clear directions, travelers can embark on their cruise adventure with confidence and ease.


Do infants pay for transfers?

Infants:

No charge for infants and do not need to be booked.  Age 2 years and over must pay for transfers.

Those traveling with small kids usually wonder if car seats are required. A car seat is NOT required.


For guests opting for Norwegian Cruise Line's Land Package and Independent Air, it's important to note that the cruise line does not offer transfers between the airport and hotel when airfare is booked independently. This means that travelers are responsible for arranging their own transportation arrangements from the airport to their hotel or the pier. While this may require a bit of additional planning on the part of the guest, it also provides flexibility and autonomy in choosing transportation options that best suit their needs and preferences. Whether opting for a taxi, rideshare service, or private transfer, guests can tailor their travel experience to align with their individual schedules and preferences.


Guests with Norwegian Cruise Line's Land Package and Independent Air: 

Norwegian Cruise Line does not provide transfers between the airport and hotel when air is booked independently.


All Land Packages include transfers between the hotel and the pier.

  • Guests with early check-in will be accommodated at the pier

  • Hotel to Pier transfers do not have a monetary value and cannot be refunded or credited.  

Norwegian Cruise Line offers ground transfers for cruise-only guests who have arranged their own flight itineraries, ensuring convenient transportation from the airport to the pier according to the tour itinerary. However, it's important to note that guests must adhere to the tour schedule rather than their pre-reserved check-in time, and separate transfers are not provided for those with earlier check-in times. Additionally, transfers between the airport and hotel are included in the cruisetour package when guests provide flight information at least 10 days prior to the starting date. Failure to do so results in forfeiting airport to hotel transfers. While hotel to pier transfers are provided at the conclusion of the tour program, they hold no monetary value and cannot be refunded or credited. This arrangement grants guests flexibility in their travel plans while ensuring a smooth transition between destinations throughout their cruisetour experience.


Ground Transfers for Cruisetours:

Norwegian Cruise Line offers Ground Transfers for Cruise Only Guests who have made their own flight arrangements.  

  • Guests will be taken to the pier according to the tour itinerary and not their pre-reserved check-in time.  

  • Guests will not be transferred separately if they have an earlier check-in time and they will not be refunded if they choose to take a transfer on their own to arrive at the pier earlier than our tour schedule.  


Transfers Between:  

  • Airport and Hotel are included in the Cruisetour when guests provide Norwegian with arriving flight information at least 10 days prior to the Cruisetour starting date.

  • Airport to Hotel transfers are only offered on starting date of the Cruisetour. Guests can arrive at any time on starting date.

  • Guests, who do not provide arrival flight information at least 10 days prior to the Cruisetour, forfeit their Airport to Hotel transfers.

  • Guests with early check-in will be accommodated at the pier at the conclusion of the tour program.

  • Hotel to Pier transfers do not have a monetary value and cannot be refunded or credited.
